We are looking for volunteers to participate in a local research study to help scientists better understand human health and develop future treatments.

Program to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of an Investigational Medication for the Treatment of Adults with Moderately to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis

Who Can Join
- Ages 18–80
- Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (UC) at least 3 months ago
- Currently having moderate to severe symptoms
- Inflammation goes beyond just the rectum
- Tried UC medications that didn’t work well or caused side effects
- If on medication now, dose has been stable for a few weeks
- Stopped certain advanced UC drugs within the required time frame
- No Crohn’s disease or other major inflammatory bowel diseases
- No major bowel surgery (like a J-pouch or ostomy)
- No history of colon cancer
- No serious heart, kidney, nerve conditions, or active serious infections
You may not qualify if you have:
- Crohn’s disease
- IBD unclassified (formerly known as indeterminate colitis)
- Primary sclerosing cholangitis
- Inherited immunodeficiency syndrome or known monogenic cause of UC-like colonic inflammation
- Or will need bowel resection or intestinal or intra-abdominal surgery
- Or likely to require surgery for the treatment of UC during the study

Study Visits:
Up to 15 in-clinic visits
Compensation:
Up to $4805
Procedures During the Study:
You will be asked to complete a daily electronic diary (eDiary) to record your UC symptoms.
