About the Study

Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of MultipleAscending Doses of GS-0151 in Adult Participants with Rheumatoid Arthritis

This study’s purpose is to determine the safety, tolerability (how well people can handle it), and efficacy (how well it works) of a new investigational drug, for people with rheumatoid arthritis.

Who Can Join

To qualify, you must meet the following conditions: 

  • 18 to 75 years old
  • Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis for at least 3 months prior to screening
  • Currently taking one or two csDMARDs for at least 12 weeks (with the dose unchanged for the last 6 weeks):
    • Methotrexate: 7.5 to 25 mg/week (oral or injectable)
    • Hydroxychloroquine: up to 400 mg/day (oral), or Chloroquine up to 250 mg/day (oral)
      Sulfasalazine: 1 to 3 g/day (oral)
      Leflunomide: 10 to 20 mg/day (oral)
  • Not diagnosed with any generalized musculoskeletal disorder
  • BMI is between 18-35

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients with generalized osteoarthritis or any systemic inflammatory condition other than Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) are excluded. Examples of such conditions include, but are not limited to:
    • Juvenile idiopathic arthritis
    • Inflammatory bowel disease-associated arthropathies
    • Systemic lupus erythematosus
    • Scleroderma inflammatory myopathy
    • Mixed connective tissue disease
    • An overlap syndrome
    • Systemic vasculitis
    • Gout
  • Current moderate-to-severe congestive heart failure
  • Prohibited concurrent medications/treatments would include:
    • Biologic or targeted synthetic DMARDs (b/tsDMARDs), including any biosimilars and generics.
    • B cell–depleting agents (e.g., rituximab).
    • High-potency opiates.
