Overview
Do you have chronic urticaria (hives)? Join our chronic hives research study.
Hives, also called urticaria, is a skin reaction that causes itchy welts. Chronic hives are welts that last for more than six weeks and return often over months or years. Often, the cause of chronic hives isn't clear.
If you're living with chronic hives, despite taking antihistamines, this study could be a good fit for you.
This chronic hives research study is researching a potential new treatment for adults living with chronic unexplained hives (also called chronic spontaneous urticaria). This condition causes itchy, raised welts on the skin that can come and go for months or longer, often without a clear cause.
Researchers are comparing two different treatments to see how well they help reduce hive symptoms. These treatments aim to calm the body’s immune response, which may play a role in causing hives. The goal is to understand how quickly and effectively each option works.
Participants in this study will receive an active treatment—there is no placebo in this study. This allows researchers to directly compare how the treatments perform against each other.
The goal of this chronic hives research study is to determine which treatment may provide better and faster symptom relief for people whose hives are not well controlled with standard antihistamine medications.

About this Study
This clinical study is recruiting adults with Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU). It is evaluating an investigational drug for people with CSU who continue to have symptoms while taking antihistamines.
The cycle of chronic hives can seem like it occupies every part of life. When the itching keeps coming back, it can feel like a never-ending struggle, even with treatment. That is why we are conducting a trial.
Medical research helps doctors and scientists discover better treatments and improve healthcare for everyone.
By joining as a volunteer for this chronic hives research study, you play a key role in making these important advancements possible.
The study team or your study doctor will explain what this means for you in detail.
