Alzheimer’s Disease Research Study: Helping to answer important questions about an investigational medicine for people with Alzheimer’s disease and agitation
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia. People with AD can sometimes experience agitation, which can affect their quality of life. Symptoms of agitation may include:
- Feeling uneasy, tense, or irritable
- Restlessness, pacing, or wandering
- Getting angry or slamming doors
- Being verbally or physically aggressive to themselves or others
About the Study
The main purpose of the study is to look at how safe a potential new drug (investigational medicine) is, and whether it may help to reduce agitation in people with Alzheimer’s Disease (AD).
Taking part in this study is voluntary and you can stop taking part at any time.
Who Can Join
You may be able to take part if you:
- are 55 years of age or older
- have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and are experiencing symptoms of agitation
- have at least 1 caregiver who will be able to support
you during the study

Study Duration:
Up to 12 weeks
Study Visits:
Up to 8 visits and 5 phone calls
Compensation:
Participants may receive up to $875 total reimbursement
Caregivers may also receive up to $875 total reimbursement
